• 3 Directional Microphones with Multichannel Microphone Array Design (MMAD). MMAD means all 3 microphones are working together to extract as much sound as possible during transmission, ensuring no words are scrambled or lost during communication.  
  • 1 Omnidirectional Auxiliary Microphone with a 4.2 Meter Pickup Distance. This functions in a similar manner to the MMAD microphones, allowing sound to be picked up from as far as 14 feet away.

• Whitelist, Blacklist, and Graylist Support. Before we talk about the benefits, we should talk about what the difference is between these lists. 
  • Blacklisting automatically blocks any name/number that's put on the list. It is, essentially, a "do not connect" list. 
  • Whitelisting is the opposite of blacklisting - automatically block any name/number that's not included on the list. It's a record of what numbers are allowed to ring through.

  • You can set up these lists one each individual speaker, allowing you to fully customize what numbers can communicate or connect with each speaker. This is especially helpful in apartments with intercom systems, where only the proper code at the front gate can connect to a specific apartment. 
• Integrated Dual-Band Wi-Fi. This feature allows you to wirelessly connect and manage all your Grandstream speakers using an internet connection.  
• Advanced Acoustic Echo Cancellation. As you might guess, this technology removes feedback between the speaker and any microphone attached to it, reducing any chance of confusing echoes. 
• One 10/100Mbps Network Port with PoE/PoE+. Power over ethernet speakers (like the GSC3516) don't require separate power supplies or outlets in order to function. They're powered by a single wire that carries both power and data to and from the speakerphone. It makes placing speakers much easier as you don't have to position over a particular outlet or power source.  
• 2-pin Multi-purpose Input to Support Peripherals, including Call Buttons. These inputs are, essentially, places where you can connect other devices to the speaker such as an alarm device or a call button. After all, the perfect intercom system isn't built on speakers alone but a whole host of other communications hardware and software.
