Compatibility & Buying Information
Exact Product: This page is for the CyberData 011209 SIP Emergency Intercom sold under NTS Direct SKU 011209-Z.
Emergency Model: The 011209 uses a bright red faceplate with EMERGENCY identification so it can be quickly recognized as an emergency communication point.
011209 vs. 011211: CyberData states that the 011209 SIP Emergency Intercom and 011211 SIP Indoor Intercom use the same internal functionality. The 011209 is red and labeled EMERGENCY, while the 011211 is white and labeled CALL.
Indoor Product: Despite its wide operating-temperature range, the 011209 is intended for indoor use. Select an appropriate CyberData outdoor intercom for installations exposed to weather.
Two-Way Audio: The intercom supports full-duplex voice communication with enhanced acoustic echo cancellation. Half-duplex push-to-talk can also be initiated from the remote phone keypad or from the intercom call button.
Emergency Calling: The call button can be programmed to dial a compatible SIP extension or point-to-point endpoint so users can reach security, reception, emergency personnel, or another configured destination.
Multicast: Current CyberData firmware supports up to ten prioritized multicast paging zones with simultaneous SIP and multicast operation and IGMP support through version 3.
Night Ringer: A separate SIP extension can be configured for Loud / Night Ringer operation. CyberData notes that this extension rings without establishing a normal voice call and is commonly used in PBX hunt or ring groups.
Door Relay: The onboard normally open dry relay is rated for 1A at 30VDC and can be activated through supported DTMF workflows.
Higher-Current Door Hardware: CyberData identifies the 011269 Door Strike Intermediate Relay Module and 011375 Network Dual Door Strike Relay as related products for applications requiring additional relay capability.
Door Monitoring: A compatible door contact can be connected to the sense input to monitor open and closed state. Current firmware can trigger a door-sensor alarm after a configurable Door Open Timeout.
Tamper Detection: An optical intrusion sensor detects removal of the intercom from its case. Supported sensor actions include activating the relay, playing local audio, placing a SIP call, or initiating other configured events.
Auxiliary RGB Strobe: CyberData 011288 Auxiliary RGB Multi-Color Strobe Kit is the documented visual-notification accessory for compatible 011209 installations.
PoE: IEEE 802.3af PoE allows operating power and network connectivity to share one Ethernet cable. CyberData's current shared Quick Start Guide specifies Class 0 with up to 15.4W allocated by the PoE source.
Alternate Power: When PoE is unavailable, the 011209 accepts regulated +8 to +12VDC at 1000mA. The external DC supply is not included.
Mounting: CyberData includes hardware for direct wall mounting and compatible single-gang or two-gang electrical-box installations.
Installation Safety: CyberData specifies that the PoE connection is intended for intra-building use and that the enclosure is not rated for AC voltage.
Shared Operations Guide: The supplied 932050A Operations Guide covers several CyberData intercom products, including the 011209, and corresponds to firmware version 22.0.
Best Fit: CyberData 011209 is well suited to schools, campuses, commercial properties, residential buildings, warehouses, industrial facilities, and other indoor locations requiring a clearly identifiable emergency call point with SIP communication, multicast paging, optional visual alerting, and door-control integration.
