Compatibility & Buying Information

Exact Product: This page is for the CyberData 011233 SIP Paging Adapter sold under NTS Direct SKU 011233-Z.

SIP-to-Analog Adapter: The 011233 does not directly drive conventional paging speakers. It is designed to feed a compatible external analog paging amplifier using its balanced 600-ohm page-port output or line-level output.

Existing Paging Systems: This adapter is particularly useful when an organization wants to migrate its phone system to SIP without replacing an existing analog amplifier, horns, ceiling speakers, or paging wiring.

Analog Amplifier Compatibility: CyberData states that the 011233 is compatible with most analog amplifiers, but exact amplifier inputs and control requirements vary. CyberData maintains a validated analog-amplifier compatibility list for specific third-party models.

600-Ohm Page Port: Pins 3 and 4 provide the balanced 600-ohm, 5VPP analog page output. This is intended for compatible telephone / page-port inputs on analog paging amplifiers.

RCA Line Output: A separate 10k-ohm RCA line-level output is available for amplifiers that use a conventional high-impedance audio input rather than a 600-ohm paging input.

Background Music: The RCA line input accepts a compatible line-level audio source so background music can be incorporated into supported paging installations.

Primary SIP Extension: The first SIP extension is used for normal live paging. Audio spoken by the SIP caller is sent through the configured analog paging output.

Night Ringer: A second SIP extension is dedicated to Loud / Night Ringer operation. CyberData notes that this extension rings but does not connect as a normal paging call and is commonly added to a PBX hunt or ring group.

Three SIP Servers: The current firmware-version-22.0 Operations Guide allows configuration of up to three SIP servers, with two acting as backups, plus the separate Night Ringer configuration.

Multicast Paging: Current firmware allows the adapter to join up to ten multicast paging groups, each with an assigned priority. The adapter supports simultaneous SIP and multicast audio.

Audio Priority: Current firmware treats SIP audio as priority 4.5. SIP audio can interrupt multicast priorities 0 through 4, while multicast priorities 5 through 9 can interrupt SIP audio.

Poly Paging: The 011233 can receive compatible Poly group paging streams in addition to standard RTP multicast audio.

Nine Stored Messages: When stored messages are enabled, callers can press 0 for a live page or 1 through 9 to play a corresponding user-uploaded prerecorded message.

Stored Message Repeats: Each stored message can be configured for a defined number of repeats or continuous playback until cancelled during the call.

Delayed Paging: Call buffering allows incoming pages to be delayed when higher-priority audio is active instead of automatically losing the incoming page.

Amplifier Fault Monitoring: The fault-sense input can monitor the fault relay on a compatible external amplifier. A fault condition can be configured to generate device events or initiate a SIP call.

Amplifier Control Relay: The normally open onboard relay is rated at 1A at 30VDC for continuous loads and can be configured for compatible remote-amplifier enable or mute-control applications.

DTMF Zone Control: CyberData identifies DTMF operation for analog paging-zone applications. Exact zone-selection behavior depends on the capabilities and configuration of the connected analog paging equipment.

PoE or 48VDC: The adapter can be powered from IEEE 802.3af PoE or an optional +48VDC local supply. CyberData specifically instructs installers not to use PoE and external 48VDC power simultaneously.

Local Power Supply: CyberData currently specifies a +48VDC supply rated for at least 380mA with a 2.5 mm positive-center connector when local power is used. The external power supply is not included.

011233 vs. 011280: The 011233 is the standard SIP Paging Adapter. The CyberData 011280 is the related InformaCast Enabled Paging Adapter for installations requiring native Singlewire InformaCast functionality.

011233 vs. 011146: The 011146 SIP Paging Server adds higher-level paging-server functionality such as 100 DTMF paging groups and an integrated bell scheduler. The 011233 is the simpler choice when the primary requirement is connecting SIP and multicast audio to an existing analog paging amplifier.

Rack Mounting: CyberData identifies the 011233 as rack-mountable. The CyberData 011093 1U Server Rack Mount is a related rack accessory for compatible paging adapters and similar CyberData endpoints.

Documentation Dimensions: The current datasheet lists 6.11 × 4.05 × 1.15 inches. The supplied 931764B Quick Reference drawing shows approximately 6.00 × 4.26 × 1.23 inches, so installers working with tight clearances should reference the latest CyberData mechanical documentation before final enclosure design.

Shared Operations Guide: The supplied 932061B Paging Adapters Operations Guide covers both standard SIP and related InformaCast-enabled paging-adapter hardware. InformaCast-specific options shown in that shared guide should not be interpreted as native features of this standard 011233 SKU.

Best Fit: CyberData 011233 is ideal for organizations that want SIP calling, multicast paging, Night Ringer, stored messages, fault monitoring, and secure network management while retaining an existing analog paging amplifier and speaker infrastructure.
