Compatibility & Buying Information

Exact Product: This page is for the CyberData 011407 InformaCast Enabled Loudspeaker Amplifier, PoE sold under NTS Direct SKU 011407-Z.

InformaCast Enabled: The 011407 is designed specifically for Singlewire InformaCast paging and emergency-notification systems while also supporting standard SIP and multicast operation.

Current InformaCast Compatibility: CyberData's current product documentation identifies compatibility with Singlewire InformaCast 12.1 and higher, including support for downloading SIP credentials from compatible InformaCast deployments and InformaCast resiliency.

InformaCast, SIP & Multicast: The amplifier can participate in InformaCast, SIP, and multicast paging concurrently, allowing one endpoint to serve multiple paging and notification workflows.

External Speaker Required: The 011407 is an amplifier rather than a complete speaker. One or more compatible 8-ohm speakers or horns must be connected separately.

CyberData 011471: CyberData specifically documents the 011471 IP66 Analog Horn as a compatible 8-ohm horn for the 011407. The published 117.9 dBC and 115.1 dBC system-output figures were measured with the 011471 horn.

Current Horn Documentation: CyberData's newer shared Operations Guide also shows the current 011590 IP66 Analog Horn operating in its 8-ohm setting with this amplifier family. Always configure a multi-tap horn for the correct 8-ohm mode before connecting it to this amplifier.

802.3af Low-Power Mode: A compatible 802.3af PoE source operates the amplifier in low-power mode. CyberData publishes approximately 115.1 dBC at 1 meter and 1 kHz when tested with the 011471 horn.

802.3at High-Power Mode: A compatible 802.3at PoE source enables high-power operation. CyberData publishes approximately 117.9 dBC at 1 meter and 1 kHz with the 011471 horn.

Two-Speaker Configuration: CyberData documents an optional two-speaker configuration in 802.3at high-power mode. Two 8-ohm speakers are connected as a 4-ohm total load using the primary and auxiliary speaker outputs.

Speaker Cable: CyberData recommends 16 AWG speaker wiring. The current Operations Guide recommends a maximum of approximately 50 feet for a single horn and approximately 25 feet to each horn in the documented two-speaker configuration when using 16 AWG wiring.

Outdoor Speaker Wiring: CyberData recommends CL2 or CL3 certified speaker wiring when speaker cable will be routed outdoors.

Background Music: The line input accepts an external line-level audio source for background-music applications, while the line output can feed additional compatible audio equipment.

Sense Input: An external switch, sensor, or other compatible dry-contact device can be connected to the sense input to generate configured events or SIP calls.

Relay: The onboard normally open relay is rated for 1A at 30VDC and supports DTMF-controlled operation. Connected loads must remain within the published relay limits.

Auxiliary Strobe: The amplifier supports compatible auxiliary visual-notification equipment, allowing audible paging and visual signaling to be combined in supported installations.

Outdoor Installation: The enclosure is rated IP66 and IK08 when properly installed. CyberData requires appropriate cable-gland sealing, secure wall mounting, and installation according to applicable electrical and building codes.

No AC Voltage Inside Enclosure: CyberData specifically states that the 011407 enclosure is not rated for AC voltage. The amplifier should be powered through the supported PoE connection.

Shared Operations Guide: CyberData document 932064A covers paging-amplifier models 011324, 011403, 011405, and 011407. Product-specific InformaCast functions and speaker configurations should be applied according to the exact model.

Best Fit: CyberData 011407 is well suited to schools, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, campuses, parking structures, loading areas, commercial properties, and other environments that need Singlewire InformaCast emergency notification, SIP and multicast paging, high-output external horns, background audio, and outdoor-rated PoE amplifier hardware.
