The Mitel M695 Expansion Module 50006874 is a programmable key module designed to extend the call-handling capacity of compatible Mitel 6900 Series IP phones. Its 4.3-inch color display and 28 physical programmable keys provide fast access to line appearances, Busy Lamp Field monitoring, speed dials, feature keys, contacts, and other frequently used communications functions.
Each M695 provides three programmable pages of 28 keys for up to 84 softkey assignments per module. 28 Physical Keys / 84 Assignments: One M695 contains twenty-eight physical programmable keys. Those keys operate across three selectable pages, providing up to eighty-four programmable softkey assignments on a single module.
Up to Three Modules: A compatible phone can use up to three M695 modules. Three modules provide eighty-four additional physical buttons and can expose up to 252 programmable softkey assignments across their available pages.
6900 Series Compatibility: The M695 is designed for applicable Mitel 6920, 6930, and 6940 family phones. Current Mitel documentation also supports the corresponding 6920W, 6930W, and 6940W models.
Not for 6905 / 6910 / 6915: These lower-tier 6900 Series models do not support the M695 expansion module. The 6970 Conference Phone also does not support programmable key modules.
Host-Powered Accessory: The M695 does not use its own separate power adapter. Power and signaling are supplied through the attached phone and expansion-module connection.
Host Phone Power Still Matters: Although the M695 itself is phone-powered, adding one or more modules can increase the host phone's power requirements. The required PoE class or need for a compatible 48V local power adapter depends on the phone model and accessory configuration.
6900W Power Considerations: Buyers using M695 modules with 6920W, 6930W, or 6940W phones should verify the exact host-phone power requirements before installation. Certain 6900W sidecar configurations require a compatible 48V local power adapter.
6930 Power Consideration: Mitel's M695 installation documentation states that when a 6930 is powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE and three M695 modules are attached, its USB port is disabled. Using an approved power adapter or IEEE 802.3at PoE+ maintains USB operation.
6940 Power Consideration: When a 6940 is powered by IEEE 802.3af PoE, attaching two or more M695 modules can disable the phone's USB port. Mitel recommends an approved local power adapter or IEEE 802.3at PoE+ when USB functionality is also required.
