The Mitel S720 Bluetooth Speakerphone 51306580 is a portable HD conference speakerphone designed for professional desk, huddle-room, and small-meeting-room collaboration. Its 360-degree omnidirectional microphone provides voice pickup around the table, while integrated Bluetooth allows compatible Mitel IP phones and mobile devices to use the S720 for clear hands-free calling and conference audio.
A rechargeable battery provides up to 15 hours of talk time, making the S720 suitable for both permanent meeting spaces and portable use throughout the office. Compatibility & Buying Information
Exact Product: This page is for the Mitel S720 Bluetooth Speakerphone, Mitel part number 51306580. The existing NTS product listing also references 710-609, the associated Jabra Speak 710 hardware reference.
Designed for Conferencing: The S720 is intended to extend compatible Mitel phones with portable 360-degree conference-room audio rather than functioning as a replacement desk phone.
Six-Person Coverage: Mitel recommends positioning one S720 in the center of the table, up to approximately 2 meters / 6.5 feet from participants. A single unit is intended for meetings of up to approximately six people.
Link Two for Up to 12 People: Two S720 units can be linked wirelessly to extend conference coverage to approximately twelve participants. Mitel recommends keeping the two speakerphones within approximately 2 meters / 6.5 feet of each other.
Stereo Music: Two linked S720 speakerphones can also operate as a stereo pair for music playback.
15-Hour Battery: The internal rechargeable battery provides up to approximately 15 hours of talk time and requires approximately three hours for a full charge.
USB Charging: The S720 can be charged from a compatible Mitel IP phone USB port, computer USB port, or suitable USB AC adapter. Continuous meeting-room installations can remain connected to USB power.
Two Active Bluetooth Connections: The S720 supports up to two active Bluetooth connections. For example, it can be connected to a compatible desk phone and smartphone at the same time.
Current Mitel Compatibility: Mitel currently lists compatibility with the 6920W, 6930W, 6940W, 6865, 6867, and 6873. Compatibility can vary with phone model, firmware, and communications platform.
Original 6920: Earlier Mitel documentation supports connecting the original 6920 IP Phone through the separate Mitel S720 USB Bluetooth Adapter. The adapter should not be assumed to be included with this speakerphone unless specifically stated by the seller.
Integrated Desk-Phone Controls: With supported Mitel desk phones, S720 functions can include synchronized volume and mute behavior as well as moving call audio between the desk phone and speakerphone.
Smartphone Use: The S720 can pair directly with a compatible smartphone for calls, MiCollab Mobile use, music playback, and supported voice-assistant functions.
Softphone Note: Mitel's S720 documentation specifically supports Mitel MiCollab use and states that Mitel-specific operation is not supported with non-Mitel softphones. Buyers planning PC softphone use should verify their exact software workflow before purchase.
Best Fit: Mitel S720 51306580 is ideal for private offices, supervisor desks, huddle rooms, and small meeting spaces that need portable HD conference audio without installing a dedicated fixed conference phone.
