Compatibility & Buying Information
Exact Model: This page is for Peplink ANT-IOT-20G-S-W-16, the white IoT 20G version with two LTE / 5G cellular elements, one GPS element, SMA male connectors, and 16 ft / 5 m attached cables.
Directional Antenna: Peplink's current datasheet identifies the IoT 20G as a directional high-gain antenna. For best performance, the antenna should be mounted and aimed appropriately toward the serving cellular site rather than treated as an omnidirectional antenna.
2×2 MIMO: This antenna provides two cellular elements and is designed for routers or modems using two cellular antenna connections. Both cellular leads should be connected when used with a compatible 2×2 MIMO cellular modem.
4×4 MIMO Routers: Peplink recommends using two IoT 20G antennas when connecting a CAT-18, CAT-20, or 5G router with four cellular antenna connectors so all four cellular RF ports can be utilized.
5G Ready: IoT 20G supports cellular frequencies from 617 MHz through 6000 MHz, covering a broad range of current LTE and Sub-6 GHz 5G bands. It does not provide mmWave antenna coverage.
Band 71: The low-frequency coverage extends below 700 MHz and Peplink specifically identifies Band 71 support, making the antenna suitable for compatible carriers and routers using that band.
GPS: In addition to the two cellular elements, the antenna contains one active GPS element covering 1575-1602 MHz. The connected router or GPS receiver must provide a compatible GPS antenna input and appropriate bias voltage.
SMA Version: ANT-IOT-20G-S-W-16 uses SMA male connectors and 16 ft / 5 m cables. Peplink positions this version for direct connection to compatible routers when the cable length is sufficient.
N-Type Alternative: Peplink also offers ANT-IOT-20G-N-W-2 with N-type male connectors and 2 ft / 0.5 m cables. That model is intended for deployments using an outdoor enclosure or separate low-loss extension cable and should not be confused with this SMA version.
Cellular Gain: Gain varies by frequency rather than remaining at one fixed value. Peplink specifies 6.4 dBi at 617-960 MHz, 10.2 dBi at 1710-2700 MHz, 7.9 dBi at 3400-4200 MHz, and 7.0 dBi at 4900-6000 MHz.
Cable Loss: The 5 m cable run introduces increasing loss as frequency rises. Installation location, cable routing, serving-band frequencies, and antenna alignment should all be considered when planning the installation.
Outdoor Installation: The IP66 enclosure is designed for outdoor use and uses UV-stable material. The mounting system supports both wall and pole installations.
Existing Datasheet: /assets/File/pepwave_iot_20g_datasheet.pdf is the correct Peplink IoT 20G datasheet and explicitly lists ANT-IOT-20G-S-W-16 with two LTE / 5G elements, one GPS element, SMA male connectors, white enclosure, and 16 ft / 5 m cables.
Current Datasheet Revision: Peplink's current IoT 20G datasheet is ref 2507-v04 and continues to list ANT-IOT-20G-S-W-16 with the same exact product configuration.
Best Fit: ANT-IOT-20G-S-W-16 is best suited to outdoor fixed installations where a directional high-gain 2×2 LTE / 5G antenna with GPS, long SMA leads, Band 71 support, and weather-resistant construction is required.
