Sensor, Not a Standalone GPS Tracker: The BTSMP1 does not contain its own cellular modem or GNSS receiver. For remote telematics reporting, it is normally paired with a compatible Teltonika tracker that scans Bluetooth sensor data and sends that information to the tracking platform.

Four Integrated Sensor Functions: The EYE Sensor provides temperature, humidity, accelerometer-based movement, and magnet detection. These functions allow one compact device to support multiple asset-monitoring scenarios.

Cold-Chain Applications: Temperature and humidity data make the BTSMP1 useful for refrigerated trailers, cargo, storage environments, and other condition-monitoring applications. Confirm the required sensing range and regulatory requirements for the specific application before deployment.

Door & Open / Close Detection: The magnetic sensor can be used with an appropriately positioned magnet to detect open and closed states, including trailer or container door events.

Movement Detection: The built-in accelerometer can detect movement as well as device pitch and roll, enabling asset-motion and handling-event applications.

Wireless Range Depends on Installation: Teltonika specifies a wireless range of up to 80 m. Actual range can vary based on the tracker or receiving device, surrounding metal, walls, cargo, interference, mounting position, and other environmental conditions.

Battery Life Depends on Configuration: Battery life varies with transmission power, advertising interval, sensor reading interval, environmental conditions, and usage. Teltonika lists approximately 4 years at the default 5-second interval with 2 dBm transmit power.

Battery Is Not Replaceable: The internal CR2450 battery is specified as non-replaceable, so deployment planning should account for the configured reporting interval and expected service life.

Tracker Compatibility: Compatible Teltonika trackers require appropriate Bluetooth functionality and configuration to receive EYE Sensor data. Verify support for the specific tracker model and firmware before deployment.

EYE App Configuration: The Teltonika EYE App can be used to configure the BTSMP1, scan sensor data, adjust beacon and sensor settings, and perform supported device updates.
