i501 vs. i501W: The standard i501 is the wired model. It does not include Wi-Fi but supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and optional 5V / 1A external DC power. The i501W adds dual-band Wi-Fi 6 but does not support PoE.

PoE Deployment: When connected to a compatible IEEE 802.3af PoE switch or injector, the i501 can receive both network connectivity and power through its Ethernet connection, eliminating the need for a separate local power adapter.

External Power: The i501 also supports 5V / 1A DC power, but Fanvil's QIG packaging list specifies the power adapter as included only with the H601W/i501W wireless versions. A 5V / 1A adapter should therefore not be assumed to be included with this standard i501 SKU.

Door Unlocking: The dedicated unlock key can remotely release a compatible door station when properly configured with the SIP and access-control system.

Short-Circuit Input: The built-in short-circuit input can be configured for compatible external trigger functions, including access-control and automation applications.

Programmable Keys: The i501 provides three configurable function keys. Fanvil's default assignments are Management Office, Do Not Disturb, and Unlock Door, but supported functions can be changed through device configuration.

Screenless Design: The i501 does not include a display or local video screen. It is intended primarily for audio intercom communication and remote access control rather than local video monitoring.
