The Teltonika PR1KSG30 GNSS Adhesive SMA Antenna is an active positioning antenna designed for compatible Teltonika Networks routers, gateways, tracking devices, and other equipment equipped with a powered GNSS antenna input. Operating across 1575–1602 MHz, it combines right-hand circular polarization, 2.0 dBi antenna gain, and an integrated 26 ± 2 dB low-noise amplifier to support reliable reception of compatible satellite-navigation signals in industrial, transportation, IoT, remote-monitoring, and positioning applications.

PR1KSG30 features a standard SMA male connector, 3-meter RG174 coaxial cable, and compact adhesive-mount housing that allows the antenna to be positioned away from the networking device for improved satellite visibility. Its active LNA operates from 2.2–5.0 VDC supplied through the compatible GNSS antenna port and consumes only 5–15 mA, making it a practical external GNSS antenna for professional deployments where device placement prevents an integrated antenna from receiving a clear satellite signal.

Compatibility & Buying Information

Active GNSS Antenna: PR1KSG30 contains an integrated low-noise amplifier. This is different from a passive antenna and requires the connected GNSS antenna port to provide the required DC bias voltage through the coaxial connection.

LNA Power Requirement: The antenna requires 2.2–5.0 VDC and consumes approximately 5–15 mA. Verify that the connected device provides a powered GNSS antenna output within this range.

Current Manufacturer Compatibility: Teltonika's current accessory page explicitly lists ATRM50, NTP001, RUT906, and RUT955 as compatible products for PR1KSG30.

Verify Other GNSS Devices: Other Teltonika products may have GNSS capability and a physically compatible SMA connector, but that alone does not guarantee compatibility. The exact device should provide the correct frequency support, connector type, and active-antenna bias voltage.

Standard SMA Male: PR1KSG30 terminates in a standard SMA male connector. It should be connected to a compatible standard SMA female GNSS antenna port.

Not RP-SMA: Do not confuse the SMA male GNSS connector with RP-SMA used by many Wi-Fi antennas. Standard SMA and RP-SMA have different center-contact arrangements.

1575–1602 MHz GNSS Range: The antenna is designed for satellite-navigation signals within this frequency range and is optimized for GNSS positioning rather than cellular or Wi-Fi communications.

Not a Cellular Antenna: PR1KSG30 should not be connected to an LTE or 5G mobile antenna port. Cellular antennas operate across very different frequency ranges and are separate from the device's GNSS antenna connection.

Not a Wi-Fi Antenna: PR1KSG30 does not cover 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, or 6 GHz Wi-Fi frequencies and should not be used as a wireless-LAN antenna.

26 ± 2 dB LNA Gain: The integrated low-noise amplifier helps compensate for losses through the 3-meter coaxial cable and can improve reception of weak satellite signals when the antenna is placed in a location with better sky visibility.

3-Meter Cable: The long RG174 cable allows the networking device to remain inside a vehicle, cabinet, rack, or enclosure while the GNSS antenna is positioned closer to a window or another location with a clearer view of the sky.

Adhesive Mounting: The antenna is designed to attach to a clean, suitable surface using its adhesive mounting method. Surface preparation and placement are important for reliable long-term attachment.

GNSS Placement: Satellite-navigation antennas generally perform best with the clearest practical view of the sky. Metal roofs, cabinets, reinforced structures, tinted or coated glass, and other obstructions can reduce signal reception.

RHCP Polarization: PR1KSG30 uses right-hand circular polarization, which is appropriate for reception of compatible GNSS satellite signals.

Do Not Add Unnecessary Extensions: The antenna already includes a 3-meter RG174 cable. Additional SMA extension cable introduces further RF loss and should only be added when installation requirements make it necessary.

Operating Environment: Teltonika specifies operation from -40°C to +85°C and up to 95% relative humidity. The product datasheet does not publish an IP ingress-protection rating, so it should not be described as waterproof or weatherproof without additional enclosure protection.

Best Fit: The Teltonika PR1KSG30 is a strong choice for MSPs, industrial integrators, transportation operators, fleet installers, utilities, IoT deployments, and field technicians that need an active adhesive-mounted GNSS antenna with a 3-meter cable for compatible Teltonika equipment installed away from an ideal satellite-reception location.
